A hard point pencil will transfer the carbon paper lines onto the thicker stencil paper, then cut ✂️on the lines to make the pattern pieces.
Silver pen/dark glass
Black pen/light colors & clear glass.
Ultrafine black/sometimes I ink over my pencil lines. I like thin dark lines as my guide when I go to build a window.

You'll appriciate the soft white pearl eraser.
Pencil sharpener does well for a sharp point.
